From Cuba with Love
Too much love never hurt anyone, but having more than one lover can get you killed.
Just which woman, if any of them, murdered the Cuban ambassador to the U.N. is one the interconnecting plots of LETHAL LOVE. Living in a dangerous world of despots, conniving bankers, criminal police and relentless assassins adds to the list of the ambassador’s potential killers, and complicating the hunt for his killer by a maligned television correspondent.
His name is Harry Vargas and he gets to interview the Cuban Ambassador while covering an angry demonstration. The night after his interview has aired, Harry receives an anonymous call from a woman asking him if he wants to be a witness to pig’s blood being thrown at the Ambassador. He is asked not to tell anyone else. His desire for an exclusive overcomes his judgment and he goes with his cameraman to cover the event. The anticipated “blood thrower,” a woman in disguise, arrives and his cameraman starts taping, but instead of blood being thrown, the Ambassador is shot dead.
Subsequently, Harry is suspended from his job at the TV station and sets out on his own to find out why the Ambassador was killed and why he was selected to witness it. His search takes him to Cuba where he falls in love with a woman who claims to be the ambassador’s widow, but turns out to be a key figure in a plot to kill Raul Castro when he comes to NYC to speak at the U.N.
