Two doctors are searching for a cure for progeria, the rapid aging disease affecting children, when one of them is murdered. The surviving doctor, Simon Gunlock, gets help from an ex-CIA friend, Nigel Flaun, when the police draw a blank. Gunlock’s research is deleted, his patient, a boy of ten, is killed and further attempts are made on Gunlock’s life. Why would anyone wish to kill research on such a benign enterprise? Apparently, even eternity can end with a bullet.
